The ProPass is a very simple machine to maintain on a daily basis. By following the '25 HOUR' schedule and by active, visual inspection - you can extend the life of component parts considerably - saving headache and money.

For more intensive maintenance procedures please refer to your maintenance manual.

GENERAL APPEARANCE:

  • Remove wired control pendant on EH models.
  • Remove any options before cleaning and wash them separately
  • Wash the body of the ProPass with warm water and a mild detergent.
  • Completely rinse off the detergent residue with clean water before it dries.

BELT SCRAPER BLADE:

  • Inspect and adjust the belt cleaning scraper assembly at the rear of the ProPass.
  • The blade should be snug to the belt to remove any sand that stays behind after passing over the hopper. If the blade is worn or damaged replace it.
  • It's a very inexpensive part and it protects the belt - which is NOT a very inexpensive part.

SPINNER HOUSING:

  • Wash and clean motor seal area to prevent any sand or debris accumulation.
  • Inspect the housing edges for erosion from sand. Replace wear plates if equipped and worn OR add wear plates if the edges of your housing are starting to wear through.

UPDATE: You can purchase Wear Plates for your ProPass that will protect your spinner housing from erosion due to high-speed, high-frequency spreading.

BEARINGS:

  • Remove yellow guards and grease as indicated

DRIVE CHAIN:

  • Lubricate and check tension
  • Adjust if required (see manual)

TIRES:

  • Check and adjust (10psi)
  • Annually: Re-pack tow-chassis wheel bearings (if equipped)

FLOOR BELT:

  • Belt should be snug - and is usually maintenance free.
  • If slipping, ensure belly plate is completely clean before tensioning belt.

BELLY PLATE:

  • ProPass 200 models or models with updated rinse out cover should spray water into the screen during every after work clean-up
  • For all other models, pull off yellow covers, insert a hose and wash out any trapped spreading material.
  • At rear, spray small amounts of water between the belt and the bottom guard towards the front of the ProPass.
  • Let the water drain down the bottom guard and onto the ground.
  • Repeat until clean.

UPDATE: You can purchase a Rinse-Out Cover for your ProPass that will make maintaining your belly plate and floor belt a much simpler and more consistent process.
